After arrival in Surabaya of your Java trip (see Java-Bali trip) you can continue your journey to Sulawesi by domestic flight to Ujungpandang, formerly Makkassar on south Sulawesi or Manado in the north of Sulawesi.

From here you can go via Makkassar to Torajaland, depending on the duration of the journey.

You can travel to Torajaland via 2 different routes, via the West or East Coast. The route via the West Coast is shorter than via the East Coast. After returning to Makkassar, you can continue your journey to your next destination with the domestic flight.

The tour in South Sulawesi takes on average between 5 and 10 days via the West Coast and 10 to 15 days via the East Coast.
